The Living Interfaith Church officially opens its doors at 11:00 AM on Sunday, September 12th, at the Alderwood Middle School in Lynnwood. Visitors are welcome. We are Christian, Jew, Buddhist, Muslim, Humanist, Baha’i and so many other paths. We recognize that we are all brothers and sisters, and that at different times and different places we have encountered the sacred differently. No one is asked to leave his or her faith at the door. What we are asked to remember and respect is that the person seated next to us has also not left her or his faith at the door.
Alternate week services are held in the cafeteria at the Alderwood Middle School, at 20000 28th Avenue West, Lynnwood 98036. Further information about the new church may be found at the church website: www.livinginterfaith.org. Be sure to stay after the service for the potluck social hour. Food and coffee, as well as good conversation are an important part of the service. All are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Lynnwood food bank.
The International Institute for Compassionate Cities supports compassionate initiatives in cities, towns, counties, states and provinces, regions, nations, universities, faith groups, schools, service groups, and other places where human beings gather.
