How do you define compassion? 1 Reply

Being such an open question, one can interpret it in so many different ways.  To me, Compassion is revealing yourself to others in a way that creates a feeling of closeness and then holding yourself…Continue

Pam! Once again, thank you. Your support and guidance on CAN is extremely helpful. I, too, like the leafy photo. To me it symbolizes this seed in Portland that has been planted, and it is now beginning to sprout. I very much like to nurture and help things grow...be it a plant or a Compassionate City Campaign.

One more thing: If you want a few people from the Compassionate Cities group to join this one, feel feel free to let them know in the comments section at http://my.compassionateactionnetwork.com/group/10yearcampaignforcom.... It might be good for at least a few of us to track what questions are coming up in case we can help. Btw, I love the leafy photo you posted for your group above!

I've attached a screenshot of the text box that you can edit. Hopefully, it will display in this comment box. Yes, you can edit the information in it AND the title that currently says "text box" by clicking the "edit" button to the right of the title.

Hi Pam,
Yes, it was great to talk with you too. I have started organizing the notes from our talk and I will send them to you early next week.
You mentioned changing the Text Box. Do you mean the actual information portion?
If so, I saw the one on the Seattle site that has clearer information explaining what Compassionate Seattle is and where it is going. I will brainstorm with John Driscoll and Cathy Zheutlin, who I have been working with, to include their thoughts and ideas before I post.

Thank you for offering to post this on the home page of CAN once we get more established.

Hi Ruth - It was wonderful to talk with you this morning. We'll be happy to feature your group on the CAN home page after it's up and running with members from Portland. Feel free to let me know when this happens.

Also, you can edit the Text Box above and change the title. You might check out the other groups on the CAN home page to see what they've done.

Congrats for getting the ball rolling! If you don't mind, please send me the notes from our conversation so I can turn them into a FAQ that other cities can use too. You can also post them in one of these comments.

Hello new members! As updates occur and progress is made, I will be posting information. Keep your eyes open for ways you can be involved and give support. Whatever you have to offer is welcomed with much appreciation. Thank you so much for your interest in making compassion a part of how you live and walk your life!
