What is the CAN Learning Circle?

This group is focused on helping members understand and use the CAN site. We will provide materials that help members understand the terminology, the resources that are available, and what to do if you're stuck. Without your participation there will be no development. Please don't quit, resist, or give in. Let's cooperate to make this work for you and for those who will follow us.

Jon,

I have been studying the way our members seem to be using the sight. I will see if I can get insight into how we can use it to facilitate more synchronous use. For example, if we indeed have a CAN festival in October, we could ask those who are working in sub-committees articulate how they plan to take current projects forward to the festival.

I suggest we use the learning circle to focus on acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to fully participate here in the compassionate action network. Knowing what group serves what purpose is one bit of knowledge that will help keep our communications effective. The projects that NICO-CAN are focusing on our best worked on in the NICO-CAN group. I am building deep curriculum that we can use on the site as part of deepening this learning circle. Stay tuned!!

John,

I would suggest getting started with any of the three projects you talked about for interspirituality.

1. The May confluence
2. Regional interfaith event at Camp Brotherhood in summer
3. CAN festival in October

I will work with Beth Alderman to post a project for the film festival portion of the CAN festival in October

I will assist you on any of those three projects.

I'm in and anxious to learn. Where do we start? How about a pilot project?

This is great! I'm looking forward to learning how to use this resource more with you.
