Muslim, Christian Jewish Dialogue

Participants included: S. Arsalan Bukhari (Community American Islamic ), Imam Muhammed Joban (Spiritual leader of MAPIS of Redmond), Stephen Caldwell, Sylvana Hale, Fred Jessup, Anson Laytner and Phil Gerson
Phil Gerson's focus is:
1. Jewish-Muslim Dialogue that he is working jointly with members of Temple B'nai Torah and IMAN Muslim community of Kirkland to deepen the dialogue.on the Eastside of Lake Washington (Jointly with Sanaa Joy Carey)
2. A Wisdom Exchange: An Interfaith Meditation/Reflection Group organized by Sanaa Joy Carey (joycarey@msn.com 206-954-5546)
Steve Caldwell lives on the Eastside has been involved with multi media productions. He is interested in promoting Muslim Christian as well as interfaith dialogue. He mentioned the video ""The IMAM and the Pastor" a true story of events in Nigeria that led to positive dialogue. This film can be found on 20000dialogues.org He is also interested in engaging youth in film-making. Phil will invite Steve to planned sessions with the "Seattle Center School" and the "Nova Project".
Imam Joban is active in organizing Interfaith Dialogue groups on the Eastside and just held a sucessful event this past month.
Rabbi Anson Laytner could not stay but is interested in being part of the dialogue.
Arsalan Bukhari is president of the Council of Islamic dealind with civil rights of Muslim Americans. We will talk further to on areas of common interest
