Hi Lori - I'm so glad that you've created a Youth Ambassadors group on CAN. Here are a few thoughts to help you get started:
1. You probably already know to invite kids and ask the kids to invite their friends.
2. I think you can also turn off the text box and discussion forum until you're ready to use them. Check out the other groups listed on the home page for ideas how to use the group home pages.
3. Once this group gains a little traction and has at least a few posts each month, I'll be happy to feature it on the CAN Home Page in the left column.
4. Would you like to write a News announcement for the middle column on the CAN home page? You can let the community know about this new YA group, provide a little background on the organization with a link to your external site, and comment on how you would like to get started. The news announcement might also ask members to invite their kids to join, such as your daughter who was featured on the front page of the Seattle Times. Congrats on the great article and her well-deserved recognition for important work!
