Hello, Everyone, Congratulations on a splendid event on Saturday! It was really wonderfully inspiring. Great to see such "substantial" people as Karen Armstrong drinking in and exchanging the energy with us. On a personal note, it meant so much to m…

Hey, everybody - A fabulous event! Thank you all so much. Last night I got only three hours sleep due to a grant application. Can't believe how energizing the day was and how easy it was to be present for it all.... sorry, I had to leave just a tad…

Hi, Her Eminence Dagmo Kusho Sakya will be teaching in L.A. next weekend, so cannot be available to lead "sending and taking" meditation on the 24th. She is very interested in what's happening though, and sends us her love and prayers. Cheers, Connie

I am informally checking to see if Her Eminence Dagmo Kusho Sakya could be available next Saturday to give the "sending and receiving" invocation, if you folks like that idea as Ann did. Dagmola was an active participant in the Seeds' Interfaith org…

Gross National Happiness is way of life in Bhutan

The NY Times has a very interesting story on the Gross National Happiness movement in the kingdom of Bhutan. It's especially interesting in view of last night's program with actor Michael J. Fox, who is known for dealing nobly with Parkinson's Disease. As part of… Continue

Hi - I am writing to ask for your support in creating a compassionate world. When I started the Compassionate Action Network I was hoping that social networks could be part of how we activate the will and find a way to make just and lasting change. I am grateful that you joined this network and I sincerely hope that it has made some difference in your life and your community.

It was the action part of compassionate action that got my attention. So now I invite you to be part of taking another step forward together. I ask that you take two minutes to join the 10 Year Campaign for Compassionate Cities if you haven’t already.

We need 1,000 people to join by March 15 to have the Mayor and City Council follow through on their end. If you personally join the campaign and share or send this on to others we will take a big collective step forward in building our capacity to make change happen. This is not just another petition, what you do will make a difference. You can learn more about this here

You don’t need to be a Seattle resident to join this campaign, and this idea is spreading. Campaigns have started or are starting in Vancouver, BC, Bellingham, Bellevue, Issaquah, Spokane, Portland, San Francisco, and London.

If there ever was a time to stand together and affirm that what each of us does and does not do makes a difference it is now. I ask that you find the time to add your name to the growing list of people awakening compassion in our cities and our world. Join here now
