Firstly we follow the work of Dalai Lama closely, so we knew about the Seeds of Compassion event and we just keep our eyes and ears open to organisations and networks that are developing in these areas. I think the nature of this kind of activity is…

Resources that could help....

We are building a searchable resource library showing the impact of compassion on society (and the lack of it), hopefully this will help projects which need evidence to develop/find funding and the show the efficacy of compassion.....

Website here

Good luck and may we all have an enormous positive impact on society...

Hi - I am writing to ask for your support in creating a compassionate world. When I started the Compassionate Action Network I was hoping that social networks could be part of how we activate the will and find a way to make just and lasting change. I am grateful that you joined this network and I sincerely hope that it has made some difference in your life and your community.

It was the action part of compassionate action that got my attention. So now I invite you to be part of taking another step forward together. I ask that you take two minutes to join the 10 Year Campaign for Compassionate Cities if you haven’t already.

We need 1,000 people to join by March 15 to have the Mayor and City Council follow through on their end. If you personally join the campaign and share or send this on to others we will take a big collective step forward in building our capacity to make change happen. This is not just another petition, what you do will make a difference. You can learn more about this here

You don’t need to be a Seattle resident to join this campaign, and this idea is spreading. Campaigns have started or are starting in Vancouver, BC, Bellingham, Bellevue, Issaquah, Spokane, Portland, San Francisco, and London.

If there ever was a time to stand together and affirm that what each of us does and does not do makes a difference it is now. I ask that you find the time to add your name to the growing list of people awakening compassion in our cities and our world. Join here now

Darran — I just remembered that I have a video on this web site that describes the PAR Model. It's called "Rethinking Violence: Opportunities." It will give you some insight into the work I'm doing.

Darran — I'll check out your web site. It looks like you're doing important work. As far as my work, there are two web sites that are relevant. Information about the new "Violence Integrative Prevention and Restoration (PAR) Model" can be found on my web site, along with related videos, etc. The other is the National Violence Reduction Initiative web site. The foundation for this initiative is my PAR Model. Let me know what you think.

Again, great to have you with the Compassionate Action Network.

You're most welcome, Darran. I'd like to know more about your work. The idea of compassion in business is practical, vital, and disruptive. It's the disruptive part — interrupting "business as usual" — that gets in the way of acceptance. But this has always been the challenge of disruptive technologies, social or otherwise. It's great you're staying the course. My theoretical work has led to the ability to show why compassion in settings such as business environments is cost effective. I'm getting a good hearing in a number of arenas. Still, it's a bit of a slog. Press on. And please keep me posted on how things go for you.
