Mahalo, Shaun! - I very much respect the work in restorative justice being done in Hawaii. I think many cultures of the world could teach us much about how we can collectively build compassionate communities in the US.

I am very new to CAN.  I heard Karen Armstrong the other evening at the local Unitarian Church and new that I must be a part of this organization.  I have been a Zen and Vipassana meditator for many years.  Last week I was in Pasadena CA and heard Thich Hnat Hanh speak about compassion plus.  I subscribe to Tricycle online and also receive the magazine.  Everywhere I look and everywhere I abide I am met with literature, film and groups discussing COMPASSION.  I pulled out two books of my own from 30 years ago when I studied compassion.  Now I know I must be compassion.  I look forward to traveling this road with you.  Deep bows and gratitude for contacting me.

Renee

Hi Joanne, I can only imagine how overwhelmed you must have been and perhaps still are trying to catch up. You gave so much!! Your training in NV Communications both fascinating and hugely valuable. I'll look forward to hearing about it. Be well. Yes, Namaste, Steven
