General Musings

Halito Cyber-friends south of the border,

I have recently moved from the Mt. Elphinstone peace camp to Lillooet B.C-this is Cayoosh-St'at'imc country.....and I am most thrilled to be living with that village feeling again...the last time was when I lived in Bella Coola with the Nuxalkmc people 10 years ago.

I am looking forward to the second International Indigenous Leadership gathering "Protecting the Sacred" to be held here May 30-June 6....last year the Spirit and Wisdom Keepers… Continue

Hi - I am writing to ask for your support in creating a compassionate world. When I started the Compassionate Action Network I was hoping that social networks could be part of how we activate the will and find a way to make just and lasting change. I am grateful that you joined this network and I sincerely hope that it has made some difference in your life and your community.

It was the action part of compassionate action that got my attention. So now I invite you to be part of taking another step forward together. I ask that you take two minutes to join the 10 Year Campaign for Compassionate Cities if you haven’t already.

We need 1,000 people to join by March 15 to have the Mayor and City Council follow through on their end. If you personally join the campaign and share or send this on to others we will take a big collective step forward in building our capacity to make change happen. This is not just another petition, what you do will make a difference. You can learn more about this here

You don’t need to be a Seattle resident to join this campaign, and this idea is spreading. Campaigns have started or are starting in Vancouver, BC, Bellingham, Bellevue, Issaquah, Spokane, Portland, San Francisco, and London.

If there ever was a time to stand together and affirm that what each of us does and does not do makes a difference it is now. I ask that you find the time to add your name to the growing list of people awakening compassion in our cities and our world. Join here now

Karma, thank you for becoming more connected on this network and for the work you do to bring the indigenous voice into right place on this planet. I spent many years (nearly all of the 90's) in this work of listening to the indigenous voice, being a conduit for indian country (through journalism), and through practices. Many stories. Thank you for the gift and for the appreciation of the Co-Creator Agreements. I seek to live by these, and many other practices :)
